Mond... Erm, Tuesday Blues

I know, it's Tuesday. But, I woke up feeling kind of bluesy and decided to perk myself up a little bit with the aid of coffee and some rad photography. That always does the trick!

These are created by one, Matt Wisniewski and not only do I feel TOTALLY inspired by these images I also can't find my morning blues anywhere ;-)

Monday Blues

Good Monday to you friends! I'm totally crushing on all kinds of photography series right now and I wanted to share this little gem with you today, you know, a cure for the Monday Blues.

Photographer Tom Hussey has been doing a series called Reflections and I think it's one of the most magical things I've ever seen. It makes me wonder what my reflection would be now and what it will be later!

Monday Blues | Photography Crush

Hiya! I hope everyone enjoyed their  weekend, even if you're not an Amerasian and didn't gorge yourself on turkey and stuffing. But, I am an American and I did gorge. Not even joking. I left the table probably 10 pounds heavier and waddling like a pregnant woman. It was a great moment.

Since today is the return to the "real" world and everyone is heading back to work and school I wanted to find a super great cure for the Monday blues. That is what lead me to this. I think it is magical and it makes me want to take vintage globes and canisters and do the same thing.

You can check out more of Rune's amazing work here! Rune is a Norwegian artist and takes these awesome installations down after the photo has been taken. The photo is the only proof that they ever existed and I think there is something really special about that!

Project Mode//Reveal

I'm so pumped! Yesterday I blogged about being in project mode and deciding to decorate Amos with a fun new camera strap. And after a few hiccups (mostly with my Pandora station stopping and not having sharp scissors) I finished the final stitching and flipped it right side out and squealed with excitement! I pretty much love how it turned out!

I like that the colors go nicely with my camera bag too, as pointed out by Andrew. It was a lovely surprise, don't you just love those? Speaking of Pandora, this was one of my very first times using it and I really liked it! I typed in Iron & Wine and got all kinds of great bands on the station. What stations do you listen to?

Project Mode

I'm in project mode. Does that happen to you sometimes? I was hunting around in my fabrics for a great combo, not knowing exactly what I wanted to make but just wanting to do something pretty and lovely. I found a great combo and then it hit me... a camera strap! A little extravagant but I'm always with my camera so why not jazz it up a little?

Photography Crush

Happy Monday and 4th of July! How many of you lovely folks will be enjoying fireworks this evening? I know Andrew and I will. We have a little spot we like to go to with ice cream and a blanket to watch them. I'm looking forward to it, and the ribs we're having at mom and dad's before the big show! :]

I've been seeing these little babies around on the net and I think they're just the most magical things I've ever seen. As a photographer it's cool to think about the moments we capture in time and that whoever we take the photo for (clients, family, ourselves) will be able to enjoy that moment for a long time to come. But, how cool is this idea? A few moments in sequence with the rest of time frozen. This concept blows my mind and makes my heart smile all at the same time, and that is saying something. I'm so down for learning how to make these, I think I'll fall in love with them!
