What I Wore | Welcoming Autumn!

Good Morning! And Happy Monday! Because, sometimes you just need a happy Monday :] It's the very beginning of October. It's Andrew's favorite, and he says it has nothing to do with the fact that his birthday is this month. He says it's because you get all of the seasons in one month. Not to mention that Autumn starts this month. But, it has nothing to do with his birthday. Really.

Me on the other hand, I've never really thought about which month is my favorite. But, I think November is mine. October has to be a close runner though. Maybe we could say Octember is my favorite.

Okay, I'm not that clever... usually. When I was teaching pre-school one of my classes was pumped on calendar time. Like, that is what they looked forward to. So we were coming into October and moving into a new month was a big deal, right? The leader got to put up the new banner for the month and got to choose the beginning of the pattern for the days. HUGE deal when you're 3.5. So we get all settled and the leader is practically jumping up and down with anticipation waiting to get started. We talked about how last month was September and went through the previous months of the year and we got to October. I was encouraging their excitement and I asked them what this month would be and they all - yes ALL of them - yelled:

OCTEMBER!

So, Octember is my favorite month. For good reason ;-) On to what I wore to welcome Autumn this year:

Shirt: Areo
Cords: North Face
Vest: Gifted from Mom
Scarf: Box Store
Leaf Garland: I Made
Shoes: Keen

I'm pretty pumped on being able to break out my puffy vests and cords. It's so cozy. I have some pretty grand things to share with you guys this week, I can't wait to share some super exciting news! If you have an Autumn outfit you'd like to share, hook me up with a link below!

Hiya Ellyse! I'm glad you're here, thanks for commenting! I did do my nails myself, I used Essie's Mink Muffs for the brown and the gold is actually too old to read at this point. My Mr. took the photos for me and I think we used Ira. Ira is our Canon XSI. I hope this was helpful! xo Shannon
