Are you BEYOND over this heat? Cause I am. I'm not over summer, I've actually begun to enjoy summer a little bit this year, a monumental triumph. But, the heat and I still don't get along... at all. I have friends in different parts of the country that are probably reading this and rolling their eyes since I'm in the mountains, but still. I will say though, that the evenings in our little holler are so so nice. We get a little breeze through our valley and it sweeps along our neighborhood, cools things down and carries late summer smells. Woodsmoke, freshly cut grass, and late blooming flowers. It's heavenly. And, it feels like Fall!
I've found myself daydreaming about Fall and the blessings that come with it. Wanderlust getting stirred up. Scarves and slouchy hats. Things slow down and get calm. Sweaters and cords. Rich colors and fun make up (that won't melt off). Fall hiking and camping, taking photos of the leaves, hot chocolate.... My heart feels better just thinking about it.
I can't wait to share it with Daisy Bear. I think fall might be her favorite, too! Which season is your favorite?

Summer has always been my favorite-- even in the crazy hot Atlanta, Alabama, & SC heat. But this year, the mix of being pregnant & 110 degree temperatures has made me sick beyond belief, so summer isn't my fave anymore. I was looking back through Facebook albums & we has SO many fabulous memories of fall last year-- that's my new favorite! Really glad we'll get the chance to be back for a bit in October!

Here in Florida we dont have much of season changes. Its usually hot all year long. So when supposebly "winter" comes along and we get a little cooler I get all excited! so i would have to say winter!

Fall and Summer are my favorite seasons. I love the beach and ocean, but nothing beats a crisp Autumn day. :]
i want the hear. we haven't had any in about 2 weeks and i am dying...all i see is fog fog fog. we are hoping the weather is nicer past sf for our camping trip!

I'm not a heat lover either. It's over 100 here every day! I don't even bother looking anymore. We need rain and cool air so badly! I can't wait for fall to get here! It's definitely my favorite season! The tree tops look beautiful in that photo!
I am so in love with Fall...I'd marry it. Just moved to Kentucky from California (where I loved summer) and I can't believe how miserable the heat/humidity and mosquitoes are. I've been inside for the last month :( I dream about fall! The crisp mornnings and hint of the holidays to come, leaves changing color, apple cider, pumpkins.... Oh now you have me going! :)
I am right there with ya girl!! I am so ready for it to be fall!
