It's kind of a funny story...

The other night Andrew and I went to dinner and we had crab legs. It was just like honeymoon! It was a lot of fun, not to mention delicious. If you've ever had crab legs then you know how messy it is to eat them and that afterwards you have to mop up your hands (and in my case take my hair out of a pony tail and take off the bib...) with a wet towel and some lemon. Andrew took off his wedding band to mop up his hands. And, it's lost. Since we bought his ring at a super low cost we're not too bummed about it but, it still had some sentimental value.

Since before we got married Andrew talked about getting a tattoo for a wedding band. I've never gotten a tattoo before and I don't deal well with needles so he said he would do it first and I could watch and see what I thought. Well, since we're one wedding band down and had some free time we nipped into a local tattoo parlor and asked them if they had time to do Andrew's wedding band. They were super awesome and squeezed him in and we even had time for coffee afterwards!

Andrew and I had a few languages in our one sentence vow to each other. Since it was an important moment we decided to pull from our vow for inspiration for his tattoo. I mean, it's kind of  a big deal. We chose the word 'ezer עזר from the phrase 'ezer kenegdo meaning "life saving help beside/across from you".  It has great meaning to us since Eve was meant to be Adam's help meet, a life savor, someone to help him and share his life and joys and trials and and and...

I'm so in love with how it looks! And I'm pretty pumped on the idea that Andrew won't lose this one ;-) Happy heart! Thanks for sharing this with us!

PS: Girls, do you have any tattoos? If so, how badly does it hurt?

I have the one that me and travis got together on my forearm and it was pretty painless but then again, I deal with pain pretty easily. :)

Neat! No tattoos here... I'm a wimp & I promised my dad a long time ago that I'd never get another piercing or a tattoo. I'm the only one in my family (other than my mom) that doesn't have any. My brothers have some crazy awesome tattoos, though!

I love it! It really looks beautiful (handsome) on him! I have one tattoo on the middle of my left rib cage. It's an emerald. It's hidden and I think it's really beautiful and most of the time I forget its even there! lol I really don't think it even hurt that bad. My tattoo artist was amazing and did a great job. Apparently he was the newbie to the shop, but he really fooled me. I think with adrenaline pumping enough and if you don't think about the pain it isn't so bad. My piercings hurt more I think. My husband has two tattoos and I don't think he thought they were too terrible either. I really want to get more, and I so plan on it!

I hope he enjoys his new ink!!

That is sooo lovely! Very cute! It's unique!! :)

Nooo, I don't have any tattoo, but I want one so badly. Don't know why I never made it happen bc I'm not that afraid of the pain. I guess you'll get over it. I accompanied a friend of mine last year and she said it only felt like someone is scratching slightly over her skin with a nail. Only at some spots it hurt a bit more... What tattoo do you want to have??

XO.

I just have the one on the inside of my wrist. To be honest, cause I like it when people are honest with me, it will probably hurt cause there's not much muscle on your finger. Bone will hurt, but on the other hand, it wont last very long since it will be a small tat. Mine didn't hurt at all afterwards either. I say go for it lady!!

My husband and I got wrist tattoos after getting married - he has a "k" for Kate and I have a "b".
we used the hindi alphabet since we were planning to move here (to India) in the near future.
I love having something permanent, and we were too broke to buy rings for each other as well. It was so special for my first tattoo to be his initial, and lots of fun!
Since then I've had several more, always with Brandon at my side, and don't really think it hurts too bad; the excitement outways the pain.
Love yours Shannon, forearm tats are where it's at.
